JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions:

Working closely with the CDPCS Program Director; is responsible for a wide variety tasks and duties to assure the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the CDPCS program.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for administrative support for regional offices, including CDPCS related training of staff, disseminating program related materials/information; and assisting Director with CDPCS staff evaluations. Assists with the development of CDPCS program administrative staff job descriptions. Ensures QA of all PCA timesheets is being completed and program related materials are kept up to date in accordance with to program and Medicaid regulations. Consults, confers with, and provides technical assistance to CDPCS Program Director and statewide staff regarding case problems/situations. Convenes bi-weekly and face to face team meetings in concert with Program Directors as appropriate. This may include assisting with agenda and training topics, program updates, addressing and problem solving programmatic and staff issues. Assists the CDPCS Program Director with developing and implementing operational policies and procedures; recommends changes to: policy and procedure, ineffective operations, poor communication, etc. Assists with hiring of new CDPCS staff. Ensures CDPCS staff properly orients DSP and consumers. Helps develop program strategic direction, structure, and goals in conjunction with the site Director and Directors’ team. Submitting monthly reports regarding the office financials. May represent the CDPCS Program in the wider community, to other agencies, and public policy-making bodies. Attends community provider collaboration meetings involving other agencies, coordinators, etc.

Education & Training:

BS/BA in health, social services, or related field. Additional training or coursework in related field preferred.

Experience:

3 yrs. - Two of which must have been in a related Human Services field. Experience and competence with Microsoft Office required. Experience with Consumer Direct Personal Care Program with two years of supervisory and management experience preferred. Experience with Medicaid programs, and both for-profit and non-profit experience preferred.

Special Skills: 

Must be organized, efficient and able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and relate to multiple people.  Able to work independently and accept and integrate supervision as needed  Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills required; must be proficient in MS Office or equivalent.  Must possess ability to make independent decisions with confidence.  Strong customer service attitude required.  Ability to comply with all agency polices and confidentiality protocols necessary.  Interest in working in a consumer-oriented agency serving elders, people with disabilities and their families. Learning Curve:

3-6 Months

Must become proficient with our CDPCS policies, procedures, and practices, and with applicable Medicaid regulations within 1-2 months of employment.

Office equipment, computers & personal electronics. May be required to work in the community so must have reliable transportation.
