Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Vance, AL
Job Type: Direct Hire/contract/temp to perm
Pay Rate: $16 / hour
Job Summary
Perform work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork.
The Production Operator is part of the Production department and reports to the Team Leader and/or Plant Superintendent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assure safety standards are followed at all times.
Assure that quality standards are followed at all times.
Adhere to the standard work instructions (SWI).
Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.
Adhere to 5S and “World Class Housekeeping” standards.
Achieve operator certification according to the plant certification process.
Participate in team meetings and understands performance goals and objectives.
Help to achieve team performance goals and objectives.
Follow ISO14001/TS16949 documentation including, but not limited to, SWI’s, forms, work instructions, and procedures.
Actively participate in self-directed work team model.
Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in plant recycling programs.
Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing product to meet customer needs and expectations.
Health and Safety

Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards.
Consistently comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
Be certain to follow work instructions.

Report all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to your supervisor immediately.
Consider your job tasks effectively performed only if done safely.
