Qualified candidate is to provide network infrastructure engineering and support on our team.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES : Design and specify new Fiber Optic and Copper infrastructure for the maintenance and expansion of the network and associated systems. Develop and maintain Physical Layer documentation and network maps, as well as maintain proper configuration and change management control over the physical cable plant. The candidate will be an integral member of a network management team made of primarily active-duty personnel. Be expected to provide SME oversight and training to junior enlisted Air Force members. Provide secondary support to the Network Engineering SME on the SOSi Team.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Position requires an Interim Secret security clearance. IAT Level II certification such as Security + required. CCNA Routing and Switching or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience working with Cisco Networks and Systems. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience may be substituted for degree. Must have working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches; Dynamic Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) methods; Remote Access Services; Domain Name Services; and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) management; Netbotz monitoring applications. Knowledge of Solarwinds Network management system.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Top Secret clearance desired but not required.Fluency in a foreign language desired but not required.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work environment is typical for an office setting.
