Job Description:
Applicants MUST have prior experience doing bodywork and paint in the automotive industry. MB Hot Rods is needing a Paint technician to paint surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques.
Job Requirements:
Must have own tools, paint guns, etc.
Inspect panels to be painted for body repair, prepping and/or buffing
Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color chart
Sand mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, equipment, and practices of the auto body repair
Knowledge of basic methods of mixing hardeners and reducers
Able to perform high-quality repairs, while keeping in mind on-time status
Ability to file, grind and sand repaired surface, using power tools and hand tools
Qualifications:
2 years auto painting experience is desired.
This position will require the technician to view and focus on imperfections both up close and at a distance, as well as identify variances in color.
Compensation commensurate with experience
