This individual will perform a variety of customer service, marketing, promoting, advertising, and sales quotes related to the horticulture equipment industry. They will assist customers by properly identifying needed items, including parts, equipment, and nursery layout options. This is a Full time position.
Responsibilities
Ability to travel 5-6 times a year for Trade shows.
Record all sales (including lost sales) and/or customer transactions using Company provided systems/tools and guidelines.
Ensure customers receive the correct parts or tech support in a timely manner.
Proactively study and stay current on industry and company product information.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Participate in team meetings and foster teamwork between departments.
Ability to use Constant Contact and Facebook for marketing.
Familiar with Quickbooks for Estimates/Quotes/Sales Orders
Participate in all needed business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive.
Ability to be flexible for call ins, front desk work as needed.
Experience, Education, and Skills
At least 3 years of retail sales experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Parts training or industry experience is preferred.
Understanding of mechanical and technical terms.
Ability to work with various computer software packages, including Microsoft Word, Google Drive and Excel.
Strong organizational skills.
Interpersonal skills are needed when dealing with customers and co-workers.
Should be service oriented and always be willing to assist the customer.
Strong leadership skills are required to offer direction or opinions when needed.
Must be a self starter and able to work efficiently.
Must have valid drivers license.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good speaking and presentation skills
