Customer Service Representative (Fairhope, AL.)

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation)

Manages all customer purchase orders from beginning to end

Provides customers with accurate cost estimates, status reports, and technical information as required

Ensures acceptable profit margin is maintained on every order processed

Effectively communicates the requests of the customers and their needs to the operations group, daily

Plans and coordinates the arrival or departure of customer goods

Entertains potential and current clients as necessary

Periodically travels by airplane and automobile to various sites to present or discuss products to customers, ascertain their needs and attend trade shows

Travels as required

Confers with manager to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement

Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner

Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy

Works overtime as needed

Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e g Safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc )

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job)

Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors

Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative

Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations

Must be able to apply common sense

Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English

Must be proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphs

Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and more, with assistance occasionally

Must be able to see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses

Must be able to hear running machinery

Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively

Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination

Must regularly be able to reach overhead

Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist and stand

Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally

Experience and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required Bachelors Degree in business preferred 2 years of customer service experience preferred Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable through the companys insurance carrier Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment and frequently subjected to the plant area with moving machinery and loud noises
