Lee Veterinary Clinic is looking for a smart, outgoing, reliable Receptionist to add to our already amazing team. The ideal candidate would have general equine and/or cattle care knowledge, having been raised around them or had formerly participated in local FFA/4-H organizations. Consideration will be made to exceptional candidates regardless. The right candidate is a true people person and has a desire to administratively assist our clients with information or coordination of their pets’ care – both large and small. This administrative role is where the right candidate will truly envision themselves performing long term (as we are not looking for an assistant or someone who wants to be hands on with patients) and value the relationships they will build. Must be flexible in availability and able to work 2 Saturdays (7am-1pm) each month. Applicants must not have current/upcoming schedule requirements or school obligations.
The receptionist provides the first impression of the hospital to clients and patients. Our receptionists are expected to be friendly, outgoing, professional and courteous, and capable of handling many tasks. This is a fast paced position requiring mental and verbal dexterity, as well as grace under pressure. It is the receptionist’s responsibility to be sure the front desk is attended at all times in an effort to welcome clients and their pets by in a timely manner. This position requires strong computer skills, customer service skills, basic math and financial skills, good grammar, and ability to accurately perform financial transactions. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
