Roosters is a busy family owned and operated restaurant in downtown Mobile. We are currently looking for the right person to join our tight knit crew of top quality cooks. The cooks at Roosters work in an open kitchen, so being able to engage the public is a must. Because of this, the cooks share in the credit card tips, creating a harmonious solidarity between the cooks and the wait staff.
Here are the details of the job.
1. Show up on time and ready to work.
2. Bring a great attitude and positive vibes.
3. Be able to use critical thinking to solve problems.
4. Have at least a fundamental understanding of Latin American/Mexican cuisine.
5. Be able to read recipes and follow directions correctly.
6. The ability to properly prep and season food, and the ability to read and properly cook customers orders.
Here are the must haves to get an interview.
1. At least 2 years experience in a full service restaurant environment.
2. A minimum of 2 professional references.
3. Knowledge of food safety, and kitchen workplace safety.
Pay ranges between $14-$16 an hour depending on volume. Hours are part time (15-20) to start, but could end up being full time for the right person.
