Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: one year specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in the federal service performing the following: 1.) Managing emergency operations policies and program plans/procedures for Public Law 84-99 (PL 84-99) and Emergency Support Function #3 (ESF #3) response operations under the National Response Framework (NRF.), 2.) Developing and identifying best practices for the standardization of Emergency Management programs, plans and documents, 3.) Developing After Action Reports and corrective actions as a result of emergency events and exercises, 4.) Utilizing automated systems such as ENGLink and CEFMS, to plan and support emergency response operations, 5.) Ensuring Emergency Management Programs meet international standards within the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) organization, and 6.) Manage EMAP Assessment/Accreditation processes, procedures, and training. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
