JOB DESCRIPTION

Vaughn Family Dentistry is seeking a highly motivated and positive individual with great organizational and communication skills to join our team at the Front Desk as Patient Coordinator.

This position will require an individual who goes beyond the call of duty to serve our patients. Must have a calm demeanor, focus and the ability to multitask in sometimes challenging and busy circumstances. We are looking for someone who is mature, confident, and flexible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ª Greets patients and registers new patients according to established office protocols.

ª Assists patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation, verifying and updating patient information.

ª Entering patient information into the dental office system

ª Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts

ª Verifies insurance eligibility.

ª Collect and post payments including credit card transactions at time of treatment.

ª Electronically submitting/preparing insurance claims

ª Answers and manages incoming calls.

ª Promptly responds to patients request for information.

ª Schedules patient appointments.

ª Confirms upcoming appointments.

ª Checks daily appointment schedule.

ª Arranges patient charts for next day appointments.

ª Fills in cancellations and no-shows.

ª Organizes referrals to other medical specialists.

ª Creates/Presents treatment plans to patients.

ª Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.

ª Maintains a professional and clean reception area.

ª Track referrals from patients

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

ª High school diploma.

ª Experienced in Dentrix.

ª Minimum one-year dental office experience preferred.

ª Strong computer skills.

ª Ability to work with multiple team members.

ª Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented.

ª Must be proactive, resourceful and efficient.

ª A high level of professionalism and confidentiality, and a desire to deliver excellence is crucial to this role.
