POSITION SUMMARY Quality Inspector:
Express Employment in Huntsville, AL is looking for a Quality Inspector to add to their company. This position is responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspection on manufactured components and assemblies to engineering drawings, specifications and other documents. Qualify the compliance of all products per these specifications and within the companys internal processes. Must meet the qualifications and requirements of this posting!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
2. Measure products with calipers, gauges or micrometers
3. Accept or reject finished items.
4. Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
5. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
6. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
7. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
8. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
9. Follow all company rules and policies, safety rules and quality standards.
10. Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
11. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Pay Rate: $15.00/hr
Shift: Monday Friday, 7am 3:30pm
Must be able to pass a drug screen and have a clean background
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience with Quality Assurance/Inspection preferred.
2. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
4. Able to read calipers, gauges or micrometers.
5. Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
6. Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
7. Good verbal and written communication skills.
8. Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
9. Above average problem solving skills.
10. Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
11. Ability to work well under pressure and use initiative to meet team expectations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 50 lbs. frequently.
2. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
3. Sit, stand and walk for 1 10 hours per day.
4. Ability to work in a 55 88 degree Fahrenheit work environment.
5. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection and vision protection, as needed.
