Ridgeview Industries is a leading metal stamping and assembly supplier primarily serving the automotive market. We currently employ approximately 600 people across our 4 locations.
We are seeking an experienced Weld Technician for our Huntsville, AL. location with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.
High School diploma, equivalent education, or willing to meet this requirement
3-5 years experience in Gas Metal Arc Welding and Resistance Welding
Ability to understand and follow the process, prints, and work instructions
Ability to understand and perform accurate weld fixture and sensor adjustments
Ability to perform preventative maintenance on robot welding systems and tooling
Previous experience in robotic programming, Fanuc preferred
Able to perform GMAW set up, trouble shooting and manual weld repair.
Knowledge of automated robotic weld cell, pneumatic valves, proximity sensors, pneumatic clamps and cylinders, M.I.G. weld torches and their controllers,
Knowledge of resistance weld tips and controllers, some general knowledge in PLC programming and troubleshooting preferred, and how the robot and weld control communicate
Basic skills in tooling changeovers and set ups
Basic skills in performing tip changes
Ability to resurface weld tips with the use of a lathe preferred
Ability to perform cleaning of weld fixtures
Basic problem solving and trouble shooting skills
General computer skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
