Randstad is currently recruiting for Assembly Technicians to start immediately at Sanmina/SCI in Huntsville, AL. The Assembly Technician is responsible for debuging complex electronic assemblies to component level using various equipment including but not limited to o'scopes, meters, computer controlled test equipment. Test complex boards and assemblies using test processes and procedures. Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and assembly drawings. Must be able to work closely with engineers.Pay for these temporary to permanent positions are currently $10.00-$12.00/hr depending on experience with lucrative referral programs, personal protective equipment and uniforms provided. Overtime is required at times depending on department and shift. Multiple shifts available.Responsibilities:Assembly Technicians responsibilities include, but not limited to:Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures. May assist Test Engineering to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.Working hours: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PMSkills:The ideal Assembly Technician candidate will have the following skills-Previous manufacturing/production experience in interpretation of mechanical drawings, and inspection of mechanical and electromechanical parts-Strong attention to detail-Strong work ethicEducation:High SchoolExperience:ExperiencedQualifications:The ideal Assembly Technician candidate will have the following qualifications-Must have a High School Diploma or GED-Candidate must also be able to work additional unscheduled hours and weekends as business requires.-Experience in hand tools, drawings, data sheets, and other reference material along with inspection tools and equipment-Experience in schematics Click to apply or call 256.882.4800 x3512 for more information.
