Unique Landscaping is interested in hiring Groundskeepers who will be able to provide professional landscaping services. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for performing ongoing landscaping tasks, as well as routine maintenance of all landscaping equipment. If you have experience in landscaping and a strong attention to detail, you may be the perfect fit for this job.
Duties:
Mow the lawns, prune the bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look
Operate snow removal equipment during the winter to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe
Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the property manager
Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools
Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others.
Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
Sweep walkway of debris.
Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
Review schedules and prep trucks and equipment
Proper use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment and ergonomic practices
Complete all job site reports and report all sales opportunities
Fill trucks, mowers, equipment, and cans with fuel additive & fuel in preparation for the next day (or as necessary)
Minimum Skill Requirements
High school diploma/GED required
5+ years groundskeeping experience
Must be a reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision
Strong attention to detail required
Drivers License required
Must pass background check and drug test
Qualifications:
Drug free work environment, a random drug test policy is in force
Ability to lift 60+ lbs consistently throughout the day
Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in any and all adverse weather conditions.
Stoop, stand and bend for 10+ hours a day.
Strong Knowledge of land care maintenance required
