Systems Security Lead - Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Systems Security Engineer/Analyst to be part of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program Protection & Security team in Huntsville, AL. This is a lead position for GMD Systems Security team consisting of security and cybersecurity engineers and analysts.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) activities for GMD systems and networksPerforms risk management processes to identify evaluate impacts of security vulnerabilities and threats, and recommends corrective or mitigating measures.Provides technical leadership and Product Security mentoringImplements enterprise and industry information security best practices.Develops security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Export Control Requirement:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):DoD 8570 Certification of IAT-II3+ years of experience with DoD Risk Management Framework3+ years of experience in a leadership or management positionAbility to travel at least 10% of the time as requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):DoD 8570 Certification of IAM-III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Experience working multiple security disciplines (e.g., Network Security, Communications Security, TEMPEST, Information Security, Operations Security, etc)Experience developing process and performance metricsExperience on Ballistic Missile Defense System or DoD Command and ControlCollaboration skills and working across multiple product teams and disciplinesTypical Education & Experience:Technical bachelor's degree with 9 or more years, or a Master's degree with 7 or more years, or a PhD degree with 4 or more years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Relocation:This position does not offer relocation.
