DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONSAIC has an opening for a Systems Engineer supporting the Patriot team located in Huntsville, AL. The candidate for this position will provide on-site systems engineering and technical support to the U.S. Army Software Engineering Directorate.The candidate will be working as part of a project team that is developing software applications that will enhance defense design planning for the US Army. Main duties will include performing systems engineering activities for software applications.Responsibilities Include:
Developing software requirements
Researching applicable Mil Standards
Entering software requirements into database
Providing systems engineering support on DoD programs
QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience;Masters and 0 years related experienceMUST BE ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCERequired Skills:
2+ years of current or recent experience providing systems engineering support on DoD programs
Detailed knowledge and experience across the systems engineering lifecycle from needs and CONOPS assessment through system modeling, requirements development, architecture, design support, testing, and systems validation
Detailed knowledge and understanding of software application design, implementation and documentation, programming architectures, object oriented programming, and database systems
Knowledge and understanding of Agile software programming processes and practices.
Demonstrated experience in process establishment and improvement for engineering development.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines (e.g. test, software) to ensure requirements are met
Superior communication (presentation, speaking, writing) skill sets
Willingness to travel to participate in various events and demonstrations
Extremely organized; strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint).
Able to obtain Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance
