The Support Planning & Management Specialist will assist in development, integration and management of the Ground-based Missile Defense product/program lifecycle support activities to include support system analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, training maintenance/modifications, support equipment and facilities. Assist in the establishment of support requirement definitions. Assist in development of program implementation/integration plans and schedules. Monitor execution of support programs. Review program and engineering change proposals and assesses sustainment impact. Coordinate and gather data for estimates in support of proposal activities. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Review and coordination with MMICS Administrators for updates Identification of applicable technical manuals or work instructions Identification of reference resources required (i.e. parts, consumables, etc. Review Work Orders (WOs) and identify recommended changes to Technical Manuals Review maintenance performance to identify issues impacting the ability to maintain the operational system Assist sites and program participants to resolve maintenance issues Support maintenance manual updates process, and provide information to Sites to support safety or time critical changes Review program WOs to ensure that required, accurate, and timely data is entered to represent maintenance performance according to system and program requirements Report system / program level maintenance Assist sites in opening WOs when site personnel are not available Review Deferred WOs for approval/disapproval BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED): Must have experience reading engineering drawings Must have 2 year of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) experience Must have working knowledge of Technical Manuals Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of tools i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience working in Supply Support, Maintenance Planning & Management, or Technical Publications Previous experience working with a relational database. Preferably Maintenance Management and Inventory Control System (MMICS). Knowledge of GMD-WSOPS-100.07 Knowledge of Work Orders TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or and equivalent combination of technical education and experience SECURITY CLERANCE: This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (post-start) RELOCATION: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
