In the Mission Systems sector, you'll join our experts in developing systems and solutions thatkeep our world safe.The qualified applicant will work in our Huntsville, Alabama office, headquarters for the Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) division.Job Responsibilities :Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsBasic Qualifications:9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.Performing root cause analysisData analysis, algorithm development, requirements development, modeling & simulation, or interface developmentAbility to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnelMicrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to obtain & maintain DoD Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with either MATLAB or MathematicaAir and Missile Defense or Command and ControlApplying statistical methods to datasets to characterize system behavior and optimize performanceExperience with wireless point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multipoint communication devices and systemsExperience with database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, and/or MySQLExperience with Agile Development lifecycle processExperience with user interface designAbility to use Microsoft VisioActive Secret ClearanceNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
