Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Aerospace Engineer to join a diverse team creating unique solutions for complex flight vehicle engineering problems.Dynetics' Flight Systems Department supports key DoD customers through the development, testing, management, and integration of high-fidelity rotary-wing simulations for use in training devices and lab simulator environments. The Simulation Engineer will develop new mathematical models and modify/upgrade existing models of complex dynamical physical systems, including engine/drivetrain, flight controls, and overall vehicle systems. The position will also include responsibility for model verification & validation against provided flight test data, to include authorship and editing of V&V reports.Basic Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering or closely related technical discipline.
Candidate must display technical skills in one or more of the following areas: flight mechanics (statics, dynamics, stability & controls), engine/drivetrain modeling, MATLAB/Simulink programming, FlightLab experience, Linux experience, and/or control system programming.
The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for regular interaction with both team members and customers while on-site at the customer location.
Work location will be Redstone Arsenal.
Other Qualifications
Master's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Special consideration is made for applicable experience in lieu of advanced degrees.
Current active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is highly desirable.
Experience with C programming is desirable.
