Mechanical Test Engineer

Dynetics, wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a talented Mechanical Test Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. This position will support the testing of electronic systems for aviation, missile, and ground support related projects. Responsibilities will include design and analysis of electronic packaging test requirements, engineering support for design and fabrication of test fixtures, environmental test planning and execution, test data collection and analysis, and operation of special test equipment.Basic QualificationsCandidate must be a US Citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0-3 years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following disciplines: mechanical design, electronics packaging, familiarity with thermal and vacuum chamber operations, or familiarity with electrodynamic shaker and shock machine operations. Candidates must be capable of excellent communication skills suitable for interfacing with a wide range of customers and performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidate must be familiar with Solidworks (similar CAD Experience will suffice), CAD data management, and configuration management systems. This position is a hands-on role.The candidate must be self-motivated, work well in a team environment, and have good written and oral communication skills.The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 35-lbs.Other QualificationsExperience with EMC/EMI lab testing is a plus.Experience with explosives assembly and handling is a plus.Preferred candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & Powerpoint) and have experience collecting/analyzing test data.Preferred candidates will possess an active Security Clearance.Security RequirementsCandidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.Dynetics is an equal opportunity employer M/F/DISABLED/VET
