We are looking for team members to support the Long Range Hypersonic weapon Prototype program.The selected candidate will be responsible for design activities, including requirements allocation, concept evaluations, trade studies, layouts, preliminary and final solid modeling, in conjunction with the performance of all necessary analyses for these designs. Support will also be provided to producibility studies, cost trades, design for long term operations and maintenance, and all necessary development planning activities.Come work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world class Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE). You will be responsible for the design solutions that support the program. As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of MGSE. Job responsibilities include:- Independently develop mechanical and electromechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.- Review requirements from various sources to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.- Collaborate with program leadership, domain experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.- Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.- Supports production meetings and manufacturing and test anomaly / discrepancy resolution- Provides weekly / monthly status and regularly present to peers / leadership.The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work a broad spectrum of Electro/Mechanical and Electrical Designs to include part selection for new designs and design updates, component failure analyses, locating sources for parts, test equipment design, design of power and control systems for facilities and vehicle-based systems, packaging of components for cabinet installations, and cable design. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteranBasic Qualifications:- Position requires special access to multiple programs requiring the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.- Demonstrated capabilities in design of any mechanical/electrical systems such as component packaging, cable design for flight or ground test systems, facility power and distribution systems, powered work platforms, robotic mechanisms, or mobile launch vehicle systems.- Provide Mechanical/electrical design for drawing development and provide supporting documentation such as detailed test plans, procedures and reports- Ability to understand and develop schematics, generate interconnect diagrams and trouble shoot electrical hardware- Show proficient capabilities with engineering design CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, or Autocad, etc.)- Experience working with teams on cross-level projects/multidisciplinary product development teams.- Candidate must have strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills and good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.- Candidate must have the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.Desired Skills:- Mobile launch vehicle systems experience- Experience in component engineering with a broad knowledge of electrical components and devices- Capture Management/Proposal experience.- Demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to lead and drive change.- Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including NEA, ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical, electrical and structural systems.- Working Knowledge of EPDM.- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
