As such, you will: Support the Program's HWIL development and integration efforts Work with multi-disciplined engineering resources for the HWIL lab, and provide programmatic and proposal support Integrate models/simulations/emulators for launchers, peculiar support equipment, fire control/battery operations center Support testing/verification activities in the HWIL lab Lead tasks associated with HWIL design/developmentBasic Qualifications: Knowledge and application of Engineering and Integration functions and processes including:a) System trade studiesb) Design reviewsc) Configuration managementd) Hardware design, development and test Experience in the support and development of HWIL lab Experience in the integration of hardware and software systems across multiple design disciplines and subsystems DoD Secret Clearance Air & Missile Defense (AMD), Strike Weapon, or other large-scale weapon system experienceDesired Skills: Electrical or Mechanical design and integration A problem-solver with strong skills in decision-making (related to cost, schedule, technical and risk), and closure (dedication to close open items/issues) to ensure mission success Good facilitator and able to lead resolution of issues Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions and issues to both highly technical and non-technical reviewers. Ability to analyze data from subsystems and demonstrate compatibility, assess requirements compliance, identify and resolve risks, and implement opportunities for improved solutions vs. system requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers 10+ years with design, development, integration, or test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and/or launch systems at the component through system level Ability to develop create solutions to difficult problems often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data on a fast paced schedule Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate CPE for mechanical structures or similar and Engineering Material Review (EMRB) experience; ability to interact with hardware and software CPEs and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied CAD Proficiency (I-DEAS, Creo, etc.) Strong proficiency in developing and delivering presentations to audiences large or small, of varying technical knowledge, and LM and customer senior leadership.
