This position is primarily located in Huntsville, AL and develops Primary Flight Display software for a Multi-Function Display (MFD) for rotary-wing aircraft. Development takes place in a collaborative team environment and often includes team members from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds. Customers are both foreign and domestic and include all branches of the armed services.Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Requires US citizenship or permanent residence (green card).

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Knowledge base and skill set associated with software development activities (requirements, design, code, verification).

Experience related to computer programing fundamentals including software architecture.

Some Ada, C, C or Python embedded software development experience

Other valuable skills and knowledge regarding this position are the following:

Software Engineering/Development Models

Communications standards including: ARINC429, MIL-STD-1553, TCP and UDP ethernet protocols

Understanding and experience with successful avionics software development programs, including certification to DO-178B/C Design Assurance Levels A/B/C/D

Vectorcast, ALM, RapiCover

DOORS, Jama or similar requirements management tools
