Our leading space and defense client is looking to bring on a Power Quality Engineer immediately. In this position, you will provide power quality assistance for the purposes of power system design of a 28 volt DC power system supported by ground support equipment. The primary focus will be analyzing and providing solutions for power related problems in a battery focused power system supported by DC power supplies. Other focus areas involve identifying and solving power problems related to power consumption, voltage drop, grounding/isolation, voltage ripple, requirement development/verification, testing, and power related EMI issues.
Requirements:
-BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics or other STEM field.
-5 or more years of experience in the power area.
-Ability to understand complex 28 VDC avionics power systems.
-Understanding of Power Consumption and Voltage Drop Analysis.
-Development of Mat-lab, Simulink, & SPICE analysis.
Desired:
-Familiarity with the NASA programs.
-Electrical Integration experience.
-Testing or verification experience.
