Summary About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun. Responsibilities Analyze installation management programs and determine their adaptability and feasibility. Serve as an advisor to senior leadership on management analysis and manpower management matters. Supervise employees engaged in management analysis and manpower functions. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Provide assistance to top management officials across the organization regarding management analysis and manpower management activities. (2) Monitor the implementation of plans, policies, and procedures of programs to ensure operational efficiency. (3) Identify program shortfalls. (4) Attend and represent management at conferences regarding force management and management analysis matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Human Capital Management Organizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
