We Are Hiring Want to Make a Difference as our Patient Care Technician?The position is PRN (as needed) position – 7p to 7a (12 hour shifts) 36 hours per month required (to inlcude one weekend shift per month) Experience RequiredAbout Us5West, Cardiac Step-Down is a private 32 bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. You will also see general medical surgical patients that may have a primary cardiac diagnosis/history. Some of your duties will be but not limited to: Bed side rounding with charting, Blood sugars, Assist with ADLS, bed changes, EKGs, Prep for surgery, Stock Rooms, etc.Responsibilities:
Aids with entry and exit of patients.
Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.
Required Credentials:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
