We are looking to add several disaster response contractor teams to deploy generators on short notice, sometimes same day, to events that cause power outages. As an additional pressing need, it looks like an area of low pressure is entering the Gulf now that has strong potential to become a major Hurricane projected to hit somewhere between Texas and Alabama.
Our primary Storm Position, a Gen-tech team, is to tow trailer mounted generators to communication towers, wire them in, and bring the tower back to life in a disaster area where the power grid is down. Then after generators are deployed we maintain, refuel, and then recover them once power is restored to the area.
Missions last an average of 1-5 weeks. Each Team makes an average of $3500 to $5500 a week with housing, food, and fuel covered by the company. You will be working with many other contractor teams in a very positive, friendly and rewarding work environment from centrally located bases set up in or near disaster areas.
If this sounds exciting to you, our minimum requirements are a 1 ton or heavier (4X4 pick-up truck) and electrical experience or competence. You must be competent in 3 phase and have a 3 phase meter. You would be deployed as a two person crew. The partner does not need to have the same level of experience.

Business as Usual (BAU) generator deployments, are tickets run anytime power goes out at a single cell site. While these jobs can be a precursor to storm deployments, they are administered differently. It depends on what market your in, but if you are the primary technician, you can expect 100 to 200 hours a month. You are paid from when you leave your house until you get back to your house, average ticket is about 10 hours.
(Gen-tech):
Basic knowledge with single phase 240 electricity (electrical contractors preferred)
The current job posting is for hard wire but most sites are cam-lock plug and play. The ability to hard wire generators to cell phone towers allows you to work on all available contracts
Min 18 years old with valid driver license
Smartphone with text capabilities and camera
Ability to deploy with short notice
