Wood Finisher / Paint Department

Redbird Design, LLC is looking for a Wood Finisher/Lacquer Sprayer to help in our paint department.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a deadline-driven environment where our skilled finishers produce high quality stained and painted wood products. The individual in this position will report to the manager of the department.

The ideal candidate must have:

1+ years finishing experience in Cabinet, furniture or even autobody finishing.

Experience with staining, painting, glazing, and sample making.

Experience with commercial-grade finishes (lacquers, high-gloss systems, etc.).

Experience working in a large spray booth.

Ability to mix and custom match paint colors and stains.

Ability to produce a high-end spray finish on various materials.

Experience creating and maintaining paint project schedules.

Ability to troubleshoot quality control issues including bubbling, inconsistent color tone, rough finish, and other common finishing problems that may arise on a regular basis

Familiarity with the kitchen cabinet industry including cabinet types, sizes, kitchen layouts and configurations, as well as knowledge of various wood parts and moldings, fillers, corbels, appliques, accessories, etc.

Candidate may be asked to perform spray test prior to being offered employment.

The ability to work well with other shop employees to successfully move projects through the fabrication shop in an efficient manner.

The ability to work well with others to create and maintain a positive work environment.

The willingness and eagerness to learn and practice new finishing techniques outside of scope of experience.

Job Type: Full-time
