This position is a perfect opportunity for stay at home moms to get back into the labor force or for college students, who reside locally, to gain valuable supervisory experience. As one of the store's Shift Supervisors - you will be responsible for supervising up to one or two employees during your shift at the sweetFrog - Premium Frozen Yogurt shop located in the Lee Branch Shopping Center in Hoover, AL.
The Shift Supervisor will work between 20 to 40 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible, but the successful candidate will need to be available to work some store openings (generally between 10am to 4pm), store store closings (generally between 4pm to 10:30pm) and some weekends. However, we will try to accomodate your schedule as much as possible. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the store is always fully functional during your assigned shift.
In addition to opening and closing the store several days during the week, the Shift Supervisor is also responsible for cleaning and maintaining expensive yogurt-making equipment; scheduling all employees on a biweekly basis; representing the store in a professional manner at all times with customers and vendors; ordering yogurt, toppings, supplies and other accessories as is needed at the store on a weekly basis.
A successful Shift Supervisor will also ensure that all staff employees make customers feel welcome and appreciated, and that customers are given prompt and courteous service at all times. Great customer service and an immaculate store is a must.
The Shift Supervisor will be required to identify, communicate and delegate appropriate responsibilities to staff employees and to ensure that the store is neat, clean, fully functioning and organized at all times. It is also imperative that the Shift Supervisor constantly stay on top of the store's appearance and identify any current or anticipated problems, concerns, as well as opportunities for improvement in order to meet operational and profitability goals.
Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but not essential.
All applicants must possess a valid driver's license, have their own means of transportation and must reside within 30-45 minutes of the store.
