Expert AuPair is one of fifteen federally designated au pair agencies in the U.S. We offer cultural exchange programs for international students and host families throughout the United States.
Au pairs come to the U.S. on a 12 month, J-1 visa, and live with a host family, providing up to 45 hours of childcare each week. The U.S. Department of State requires that there be a Local Representative within a one hour drive of each placement.
The Local Representative plays an important role in helping the au pair to adjust to life in the U.S. as well as assisting the host family with any questions they may have. Almost all of this work is done remotely, contacting both the au pair and host family each month to ensure that all is well. The Local Representative receives direct support from the Regional Representative and the Expert AuPair home office.
