What you will need to do as our Production Manager….

- Work with management team to develop an action plan to ensure that budget, goals and targets are achieved in a

timely manner.

- Administers the production schedule for the plant's processes to affect lower inventories, more economical labor

costs, just-in-time programs and more efficient utilization of existing resources (labor or materials).

- Develop and implement programs to reduce scrap and improve productivity.

- Coordinate the production activities of the department with the rest of the facility and maintain schedules to

achieve a high level of customer service.

- Identify areas for quality improvement and initiate problem-solving activities to improve quality performance.

- Identify training needs, help develop training programs and assist in training of employees.

- Establish an environment conducive to employee participation and facilitate the development of teams.

- Conduct periodic audits of work teams to determine their needs and effectiveness.

- Establish and control manufacturing costs including labor, materials and overhead costs.

- Develop, implement and administer programs for improving manufacturing operations.

- Identify areas for quality improvement and initiate problem-solving activities to improve quality performance.

- Maintain departments so that they are in a state of readiness for customer visits and audits.

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate plant operations

You must have…

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible

experience.

- Five years warehousing experience in a leadership role, with emphasis on leadership, supervision,

communication and planning.

- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.

- Skilled in the use of all Microsoft software.

- Effective communication skills.

- Project management skills are essential to manage initiatives implemented from senior management.

- Experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques or equivalent manufacturing efficiency principles.
