Cypress Employment Service are currently seeking a Machine Operator for a facility in Birmingham, AL.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate is one who has experience in vertical form fill seal and horizontal pouch machines. Experience in manufacturing in the food industry would be beneficial. The candidate will have the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team within a safe and clean environment.
The Machine Operator ensures that products received and produced meet documented specifications. This position is responsible for the machine settings, print labeler setup, tape machine, scale weights, and appropriate paperwork for the daily production activity.
Responsibilities and requirements:
knowledge of electrical systems
Carry out production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties
Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
Effectively monitor production equipment
Assist the plant management and production line workers as necessary
Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Maintain a safe and clean workspace
Follow established safety rules and regulations
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay: $18-$22 HR. DOE
