Small, established electronic instruments manufacturing firm seeks a meticulous & methodical individual to join our Electronic Assembly team. You will stuff & solder printed circuit boards, assemble wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies. Then you will combine those items into our end product.
Responsibilities
Install "through-hole" components into printed circuit boards, solder, and inspect
Cut, strip, tin and complete wiring harnesses
Wind coils using winding machine, and build antenna/sensor assemblies
Assemble, by hand, our final product using common tools and hardware
Produce accurate record of production quantities, time, rejects, and other necessary reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficient at soldering through-hole and SMT components
Demonstrated success in a circuit board assembly and/or batch-production environment is desirable
Work well individually (self-managed & motivated), and as part of a team with personnel from all levels
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Proficient with hand tools and possess good hand and eye coordination
Legible handwriting and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instruction in English
Valid driver's license
Full time, 40 hrs/week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Located in Irondale (Birmingham), AL. Steady work with a small firm providing variety and room to expand in job knowledge and experience.
