The equipment operator will be responsible for operations of different heavy equipment, conducting inspections of equipment, truck check-in and out, and general labor duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
-Climb on and off railcars and locking down boxes
-Perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment and chassis
-Move containers and chassis in the yard by utilizing a capacity (yard dog)
-Pick up and keep clean the inside of the equipment, was the outside of the Capacity daily
-Check-in & out Tractor Trailers at the gate
-Physical inspection of the chassis and container
-Load and unload railcars by utilizing an overhead crane or Side Picks
-Pick up and keep clean the inside of the equipment
-Stack containers by utilizing a side loader / perform lift-off and lift on’s as needed
-Wash off equipment, including gas tanks for equipment daily.
-Operate all equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies
-Cross-train in all yard functions
-Yard Duties as needed such as maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning
Shift: Monday-Friday Night Shift, occasional weekend work
