Lead Phlebotomy Position
Job Summary
This is a night shift position
Provide in the field leadership to the staff, who obtain and process specimens from geriatric patients according to the company' policy/procedures
Perform blood collections by venipuncture from geriatric patients using correct sample identification and sufficient sample quantity for the performance of laboratory tests ordered by the physician.
Performs New Hire Training & staff re-training and problem resolution.
Transport patient specimens from outpatient consumers to the Laboratory.
Perform departmental support activities as directed by Supervisor.
In addition to these responsibilities, Lead Phlebo will function as a productive member of the Field Service Team, under the guidance and supervision of his/her management team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High school graduate.
Prior management/supervisory experience or manager training strongly preferred.
Must be flexible in work schedule.
Competence in phlebotomy
Effective communication skills in dealing with the public, clients and nursing staff required.
