Duties as a Dog Handler:
-Ensure the safety of all of the dogs in our care
-Manage dog play in all seven of our playgroups - group sizes range from 10 to 30 dogs
-Cleaning as needed - dog messes of all kinds : ), facility upkeep, some maintenance, and yard clean up
-Preparing meals, feeding, and administering medication
-Some basic grooming - baths, brush out, ear/eye cleaning, nail trims
-Customer interactions
Qualifications:
-A love of dogs of all sizes and a caring personality
-Willing to get down and dirty - cleaning is a huge part of the job!
-Excellent communication skills and can take direction, both verbal and written
-Works well as a team and independently
-Basic customer service skills - the dogs don't drive themselves to daycare ;)
-A desire to learn about dogs and their behavior
-Able to lift 50lbs
-Ability to work weekends and holidays - they are our busiest times and are REQUIRED !
-Excellent attendance - the dogs and your team depend on you
