Position Overview:Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Education/ including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:Current licensure California RN. Must have current American Heart Association BLS-HCPC recognition or Greater Sacramento Region -Healthcare CPR. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS preferred. ACLS Recognition (current or to be obtained with in first six (6) months of employment).Knowledge:Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills.Experience:One (1) year or critical care experience or one (1) year of Telemetry nursing experience.Skills:In depth knowledge of nursing process in assessment of physical and psychosocial, psychological needs of patients. Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching of patients and families.
