Position Overview:POSITION SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of criticalthinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.Qualifications:MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation/including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:Current licensure California RN or Interim Permitee. Must have current American Heart Association BLS -Health Care Provider recognition or Greater Sacramento Region -Healthcare CPR. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS preferred. Current ACLS recognition required.Knowledge:Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills.Experience:One (1) year of critical care experience preferred. One (1) year of telemetry nursing experience preferred.Skills:In depth knowledge of nursing process in assessment of physical and psychosocial, psychological needs of patients. Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching of patients and families.Independently practices and prioritize multiple demands in a ever-changing environment.
