ProAmpac is a leading edge company that produces food grade plastic packaging. As a plate maker here you will make and supply plates for the printing press. Also you willfinish the plate making process and supply plates to the printing press. Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is required.The key duties of this position are:
Work on order preparation
Make plates for plate mounters using photopolymer material, exposure unit, plate processor, CDI laser unit, and finish/detach drying unit
In charge of cleaning distiller and handling waste drums
Finish/detach photopolymer sheets by placing in light finisher
Use micrometer
Box finished plates by job and store for plate mounters
Learn plate making duties to fill position as needed
Work as team member and comply with company safety rules
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Pass a pre-employment test
Pass a drug and alcohol screen
Must be able to read, write, and understand English
Must be able to use a tape measure, calculator, micrometer, and have basic computer knowledge
Must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work a 12 hour (day or night) shift if necessary
Must be reliable and able to work in a safe manner.
