Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State, AND

one year of post -RN licensure clinical nursing experience.

Provide nursing interventions and medication administration consistent with the nursing process and compliant with regulatory standards.Maintain inventory standards for medicines, controlled drugs and narcotics.Review the overall health condition of youth by preparing and continually reviewing and evaluating plans of nursing intervention to ensure that such interventions are consistent with specific and comprehensive treatment plans.Participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team.Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview. ## Additional Comments

Salary Schedule for the Nurse 2 Position is as follows:$57,722-71,557 - Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 16 ($50,722) and Geographic Differential ($7,000).Employees hired for this shift (2 pm – 10 pm) will qualify for a shift differential (+$5,000) and inconvenience pay (+$575).Additional compensation above the hiring rate may apply depending on the candidate’s training and experience.Background Investigation Requirements:1) All prospective employees will be investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. All convictions must be reported; conviction of a felony or misdemeanor, or any falsified or omitted information on the prospective appointee’s employment application, may bar appointment or result in removal after appointment. Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with the applicable provisions of State and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information, and may be required to pay any necessary fees.2) All prospective employees will be screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees will be required to pay any necessary fees.3) For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
