Role Summary:The Lead TAVS Technical Engineer will provide critical technical expertise in process technology development and site product startups for the Turbine Airfoils Value Stream (TAVS) Advance Technical Team. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for executing technology introduction plans for key programs to support business goals for engine component manufacturing. Additionally, this role will foster relationships between other sites within the value stream (Greenville, SC; Auburn, AL; and Evendale, OH) to enable industrialization.Essential Responsibilities:In addition, as the Lead TAVS Technical Engineer, you will:
Collaboratively partner with TAVS sites to develop product plans for technology introduction using a TRL / MRL guide to generate production solutions
Develop, support, and coordinate growth playbook forecasts into executable plans for TAVS manufacturing sites
Support multi-generational product plan activities to include ;
Capital Expenditures
Capacity Planning
and Idea Generation
Support the design of next generation tooling and processes by leading and facilitating the development partnership between Greenvillle, Auburn, and the TAVS development center
Develop initial cost, yield, and labor targets for new programs
Ensure consistent:
Product Processes
Practices
Programming
Quality Plans
Tooling
and Work Instructions
Across the shops
Coordinate technical elements and project plans to ensure the product transitions are timely and effective
Partner with Product Owners and Process Engineers
To ensure validation of design specifications
and Shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment
Provide continuity of support to Product Owners and Process Engineers after process transfers to production sites
Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization
Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
Investigate, develop, and apply new technology
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and/or design of hot gas path components for gas turbines
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, and/or business management from an accredited university or college
Execution focused and collaboratively minded
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Advanced manufacturing techniques :
Additive
Metrology
EDM Drilling
Creep Feed Grinding
Prototype Tooling, etc.
CAD / CAM experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Knowledge of turbine blade manufacturing
