We are an organization of nearly 700 men and women dedicated to delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective generation to California in an environmentally responsible manner.Position SummaryLeads represented and professional employees who provide accurate and timely asset data and solutions to Gas Operations enabling risk and asset management. Partners with the As-Built Process Owner and is responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of initiatives, including technology-related. Partners with the Asset Family Owner of Data and is responsible for the development of a strategic, risk-informed data management framework and is a primary point of contact for all data in Gas Operations. Contributes to Safety Excellence goals through quality and compliant records and data.Job Responsibilities
Ensures Asset Management Information systems are maintained accurately and in a timely manner to support the various stakeholder groups.
Develops and executes organizational strategy into business plans and metrics to drive accomplishment of goals and metrics.
Keeps abreast of trends and changes in the industry.
Works with all levels of management and senior leadership across functions to influence decisions.
Leads and facilitates Short-term or long-term planning, and defines plan goals and objectives.
Ensures integration of a variety of record systems including Documentum, Geographic Information System (GIS), and SAP Work Management Equipment Registry.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with business units and external agencies.
Provides coaching to ensure alignment in decision making and execution of work within the function
Acts as the authority for internal and external MAOP-related matters for the Line of Business
QualificationsMinimum:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Job-related experience, 10 years
Leadership experience, job-related, 5 years
Desired:
Graduate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Masters Degree in Business Administration-Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in construction, job-related
Experience in project management
Experience in gas operations, job-related
Experience in natural gas industry
Experience in technical writing
LSS-Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
PE-Professional Engineer license, California
