Our Auburn, IN location is seeking a CAD Engineer to join our team.Are you ready to shape the future with us?THE POSITIONThis opportunity is for a CAD Designer who will work co-operatively with Program Engineers to develop innovative, cost-competitive Vibration Control products from technical reviews through to the end of program life. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking a leading role in ensuring design manufacturability, the establishment and application of GD&T, ensuring customer interfaces are understood and maintained, interfacing directly with customer CAD repositories, and ensuring internal and customer specifications for 2D and 3D CAD are met. The candidate will work create 3D models and 2D drawings of components and assemblies respect CTVC and customers standards and norms. Candidate will also be responsible for checking, releasing, storage 3D models and 2D drawings into the CTVC and customer database. In addition, the candidate will support Program Engineers by providing technical solutions for the engineering challenges that are encountered during developmentWHY YOU SHOULD APPLY Immediate Benefits Paid Time Off Tuition & Employee Discounts Annual Bonus Employer 401(k) Match And more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader!Job RequirementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS Engineering graduate 5+ years of experience working as a designer, preferably in an automotive environment Working experience with modeling design in preferred CAD software (Catia,Solidworks) Experience with GD&T Knowledge of production technologies and materials (particularly, rubber, plastics, stampings, and aluminum) Basic experience in FEM,CAE methods Technical and analytical thinking Independent working ability and assertivenessPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in design for manufacturability and/or commodities such as castings, stampings, plastic injection or rubber parts is an asset.
